Important game to mention about took place in Vladimir. Sixth rankedVladimir (15-13) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 3rd ranked Spartak (19-7) 72-71 on Wednesday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Svetlana Rozanova (183-2005) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Forward Lidiya Malakhova (184-2003) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Darya Sharova (171-2002) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and forward Tatyana Soloveva (182-1997) added 18 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Spartak. Four Spartak players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Vladimir maintains sixth position with 15-13 record. Spartak at the other side dropped to the second place with seven games lost. They share the position with Chevakata. Vladimir will play against MBA-2 (#7) in Moscow in the next round. Spartak will play at home against Kazanochka (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
