An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 5th rankedRusichi in a game in Chelyabinsk versus Metallurg (#8) 85-78 . Metallurg dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Rusichi K. 's 30. They outrebounded Rusichi 48-26 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Artem Stepantsov (195-1998) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Kirill Epanov (204-1992) supported him with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Metallurg's coach Vladimir Yemelyanov used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 23 points and 6 rebounds by naturalized Spanish power forward Dmitriy Flis (204-1984) did not help to save the game for Rusichi . Belarusian guard Valentin Nazarov (185-1997) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for lost side. Four Rusichi players scored in double figures. Metallurg have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Metallurg maintains eighth position with 9-17 record. Rusichi lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with nine games lost.
