Second Stage Round 2: MBA - Nika 84-79

Very important is a road loss of Nika against MBA on Monday night. Visiting Nika was defeated by MBA in a tough game in Moscow 79-84. MBA made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. MBA outrebounded Nika 37-19 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Maria Korshakova (173-1992) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Yulia Savukova (177-2006, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. The former international Yulia Labutina (176-1997) produced 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Anastasiya Komarova (187-1999) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five MBA and four Nika players scored in double figures. MBA will meet Dynamo in the next round. Nika will play against UMMC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
