Regular Season Round 50: UNICS-2 - MBA-2 73-72

The most exciting game of round 50 in the VTB-Youth League took place in Kazan. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-rankedMBA-2 (34-8) to tenth ranked UNICS-2 (14-26) 73-72 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of MBA-2. Guard Roman Ilyuk (185-2005) scored 23 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Magomednabi Khalilulaev (186-2006) chipped in 22 points (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. Matvey Padius (194-2006) responded with 25 points and 4 steals and forward Maxim Ogarkov (201-2006) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. UNICS-2 moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Samara-2. MBA-2 at the other side keeps the second position with eight games lost.
