Not a big story in a game when 11th rankedSamara-2 (2-38) was outscored on the road by sixth ranked Kazanochka (21-19) 82-42 on Saturday. Kazanochka dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Samara-2 's 26. Kazanochka forced 26 Samara-2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for center Alina Zakharova (186-2003) who led the winners and scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Alina Ledneva (175-1997) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Four Kazanochka players scored in double figures. Center Ekaterina Tikhonova (195-2008, agency: LBM Management) came up with 4 points and 11 rebounds and forward Daria Godyaeva (180-2005) added 11 points respectively for Samara-2 in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kazanochka maintains sixth place with 21-19 record. Samara-2 lost twenty fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 38 lost games.
