VTB-Youth League top team -MBA-2 (16-1) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Khimki-2 (9-7) in Moscow 89-53 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Khimki-2. MBA-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Khimki-2 's 26 and made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. MBA-2 forced 26 Khimki-2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was Matvey Padius who scored 29 points and 5 steals (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Maxim Ogarkov chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Mikhail Matyushkov who recorded 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Fyodor Lavrekhin added 10 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MBA-2 have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-1 record. Khimki-2 at the other side dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost.
