We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Chelyabinsk where 6th rankedNeftekhimik (9-11) was defeated by seventh ranked Metallurg (9-11) 79-70 on Friday. Metallurg outrebounded Neftekhimik 47-29 including a 36-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for center Bogdan Policshuk (204-2005) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Power forward Stanislav Sarafankin (198-1993) helped adding 11 points and 9 rebounds. Metallurg's coach Vladimir Yemelyanov allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Stanislav Sarafankin (198-1993) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Pavel Gankevich (201-2003) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Metallurg and five Neftekhimik players scored in double figures. Metallurg have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Neftekhimik. Neftekhimik lost third consecutive game.
