The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedRusichi (21-5) in Chelyabinsk on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by seventh ranked Metallurg (11-17) 82-74 . Metallurg forced 24 Rusichi turnovers. Strangely Rusichi outrebounded Metallurg 48-36 including a 39-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Rusichi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for guard Danil Yurkov (190-2004) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 5 assists. Kirill Voskoboynikov (196-2005) contributed with 20 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Metallurg's coach Vladimir Yemelyanov used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alexandr Milyutin (198-1997) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds and point guard Alexey Vzdykhalkin (191-1985, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Rusichi. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Metallurg maintains seventh place with 11-17 record. Rusichi at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost.
