Very important is a road loss of third rankedChelbasket (13-7) against seventh ranked Khimki (12-9) on Monday night. Visiting Chelbasket was crushed by Khimki in Khimki 106-87 . Khimki forced 24 Chelbasket turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Khimki especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Chelbasket was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Victor Zaryazhko (194-1992) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 assists. Power forward Evgeny Fidiy (208-1991) contributed with 18 points and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Nathaniel Pollard Jr (196-2000, college: UMES, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) replied with 23 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and guard Yan Dodeus (187-2004, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 15 points and 6 assists in the effort for Chelbasket. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Khimki moved-up to sixth place. Chelbasket at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost.
