VTB-Youth League top team -MBA-2 (36-2) managed to deliver another win on Tuesday. This time they beat tenth ranked UNICS-2 (13-25) in Kazan 83-71 . MBA-2 forced 19 UNICS-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 46-30 including 17 on the offensive glass. MBA-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Timofey Shikalov (195-2006) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Ivan Karpenko (188-2007) chipped in 6 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Vladislav Dergavin (198-2006) with 14 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Magomednabi Khalilulaev (186-2006) scored 15 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MBA-2 have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 36-2 record. UNICS-2 at the other side keeps the tenth place with 25 games lost.
