Very important is a road loss of third rankedUniv.Surgut (15-8) against fifth ranked Chelbasket (14-7) on Wednesday night. Visiting Univ.Surgut was crushed by Chelbasket in Chelyabinsk 88-65 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Univ.Surgut. They outrebounded Univ.Surgut 48-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Chelbasket players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Univ.Surgut was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Belarusian forward Dzmitry Ryuny (206-2000, college: Oregon St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Nathaniel Pollard Jr (196-2000, college: UMES, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) supported him with 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Pollard Jr. is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Chelbasket players scored in double figures. Even 17 points by Belarusian point guard Andrey Rogozenko (183-1997) did not help to save the game for Univ.Surgut . Guard Kirill Budin (181-2001) added 9 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chelbasket maintains fifth position with 14-7 record, which they share with Dinamo. Univ.Surgut at the other side dropped to the second place with eight games lost. They share the position with Temp-SUMZ and Dynamo Ufa.
