Second Stage Round 7: Wallabies - CNBS 88-91

The most exciting game of round 7 in the NLB took place in Kuesnacht-Erlenbach. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 5th rankedWallabies (2-4) to fourth ranked CNBS (4-3) 91-88 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Wallabies. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Nigerian swingman Emmanuel Kupa (192-2006) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Matteo Da Silva (180-2006) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists for the winners. Five CNBS players scored in double figures. Andrea Bracelli (193-1997) answered with 27 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and American power forward Xavier Brewer (206-2000, college: AAMU) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Wallabies. CNBS moved-up to third place. Wallabies at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Villars. CNBS will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Wallabies will play on the road against Bernex (#8) in Geneve and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
