ButSwiss Central was not able to use a home court advantage and was crushed by the opponent from Vevey 96-77 on Saturday night. Riviera forced 21 Swiss Central turnovers. American guard Dakota Gillespie (192-2000, college: Fisher) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Nicholas Henry (201-2004, college: Aquinas Coll.) chipped in 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side forward David Vajda (196-2006) responded with 22 points and swingman Mirza Ganic (189-2001) scored 15 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
