Regular Season Round 2: Abdullah Gul - Sleza Wroclaw 70-72

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Polish Sleza Wroclaw's (2-0) road victory over Turkish Abdullah Gul (0-2) in Kayseri 72-70 on Wednesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Abdullah Gul won fourth quarter 28-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American point guard Sharnee Zoll-Norman (170-86, college: Virginia) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Dutch Kourtney Treffers (187-94, agency: Court Side) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Sleza Wroclaw players scored in double figures. American-Serbian forward Danielle Page (188-86, college: Nebraska) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and Romanian forward Gabriela Marginean (182-87, college: Drexel, agency: LBM Management) added 19 points in the effort for Abdullah Gul. Sleza Wroclaw will face Istanbul Uni (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Abdullah Gul will play against Basket Gdynia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
