Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked German TSV 1880 Wasserburg and second-best Swiss Fribourg had identical 2-3 record. This time TSV 1880 Wasserburg used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Fribourg 75-58 on Wednesday night. It was a key game for the second position in Group I. The best for the losing side was Belgian point guard Noemie Mayombo (170-91, agency: LBM Management) with 21 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Marielle Giroud (181-87, college: Franklin Pierce) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Fribourg's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Defending German champion (3-3) moved-up to second place in Group I, which they share with Hainaut and UNI Gyor. Loser Fribourg dropped to the third position with four games lost.
