Regular Season Round 7: Buducnost - Hapoel J-M 92-75

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Israeli Hapoel Jerusalem's (2-5) road loss to fourth ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (4-3) 75-92 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-75. Buducnost made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Buducnost had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for point guard Petar Popovic (195-96, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Point guard Nikola Ivanovic (190-94, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 15 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American Jerome Dyson (191-87, college: Connecticut) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import swingman Tarence Kinsey (200-84, college: S.Carolina) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Four Hapoel Jerusalem players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Montenegrin champion moved-up to second place in Group B. Defending Israeli champion Hapoel Jerusalem dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Buducnost will face bottom-ranked Galatasaray (#5) in Istanbul in the next round. Hapoel Jerusalem will play on the road against the league's leader Bayern Muenchen and hope to win that game.
