Quarter-Finals Round 2: Gescrap BB - CEZ Nymburk 46-52

Nymburk wrapped up their EuroCup campaign with a loud road victory in Spain. The Czech champions nipped Bilbao on the road but the victory was not sufficient to reach the tournaments semis. Bilbao entered the game with an 11-point cushion and advanced into the next round on aggregate score. Bilbao will take on ALBA Berlin on April 17 in Vitoria. The teams kept it close in the starting frame. The lead changed hands for several times before Bilbao made it 13:12 after ten minutes. Nymburk went on a 9:0 run early in the second frame as they earned a 21:13 advantage. The visitors maintained the lead and were up by 8 points at the interval 26:18. Bilbao responded with a 10:2 run at the start of the third frame to draw things level at 28. Nymburk persisted taking the lead once again. They finished the third stanza ahead by one 36:35. Bilbao quickly gained the lead early in the fourth frame just to see it evaporate. Nymburk sparked the intrigue when they established a 52:46 advantage with just over a minute to go. However Alex Mumbru sank a jumper just in time to cool off the visitors. Arthur Lee knocked down 12 points to lead Nymburk. Petr Benda added 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Marko Banic answered with 12 points for Bilbao. Alex Mumbru had 10 points in defeat.
