Quarter-Finals Round 2: Valencia - Aris 85-67

Valencia made it look easy as they swept their EuroCup quarterfinal series against Aris. After the road win in Greece Valencia proved the strength at home court. Thomas Kelati knocked down 18 points to lead Valencia into the next round of action. The Spanish team will now face Panellinios in the EuroCup semifinal on April 17. Valencia looked solid right from the start. The hosts quickly grabbed the lead and led 22:14 ten minutes into the game. Aris cit the deficit at 4 points early in the second period but Valencia responded later in the period. They first opened a double digit advantage and then went on a 10:0 run to take a 44:26 lead. Valencia enjoyed a 47:28 buffer at halftime. Aris tried to revived the intrigue in the third stanza. They won it by three points to get within 16 at the final break. But Valencia looked unstoppable in this one as they easily overwhelmed the visitors in the fourth period clinching a comfortable win at the end. Matt Nielsen provided 13 points and 6 boards for the home team. Serhiy Lishchuk contributed 10 points and 5 rebounds in the win. Matt Walsh answered with 15 points and 7 caroms for Aris. Jeremy Richardson notched 13 points in defeat.
