Nymburk recorded the second EuroCup win. They overcame Jerusalem in Czech Republic tonight. Chester Simmons scored 18 points to lead the hosts. Both teams are now tied at 2-1 record in Group G. The teams stayed close in the opening frame. Jerusalem jumped in front early in the encounter but their former player Chester Simmons helped the Czech champions to take a 12:11 lead after ten minutes. Jerusalem retained the lead early in the second frame but not for long. Ladislav Sokolovsky had 5 points in a 7:0 rally as Nymburk posted a 19:15 advantage. The hosts took a 6-point advantage before Jerusalem went on a 10:0 run and ensured a 34:31 halftime lead. Ohayon extended the lead to 8 points early in the third frame 45:37. Chester Simmons went on a solo as he drained three trebles and added a jumper to drag Nymburk in front 55:53 with one quarter to go. Afik Nissim and Chester Simmons capped a 13:0 run from the home side as Nymburk grabbed a 63:53 lead early in the final stanza. Jerusalem tightened their defense and kept the home side scoreless for almost four minutes to get as close as four points. But it was not enough as Lenzly sealed the winning outcome for the Czech team. Afik Nissim and Ladislav Sokolovsky accounted for 13 points each for Nymburk. Vladimir Stimac nailed 12 points and collected 11 rebounds in the victory. Jason Rich answered with 22 points, 6 assists and 4 boards. Willie Solomon had 11 points in defeat.
