Unics returned on top of EuroCup Group A. They stunned Le Mans in France tonight to clear off in the leading position in the ladder. Maciej Lampe delivered 23 points and 6 rebounds to pace the Kazan outfit. Le Mans slipped at 2-2 record after the loss. Unics did not waste too much time to set up the tone. The visitors unleashed 25 points in the first quarter to leave Le Mans behind. Unics rallied to a comfortable 9-point lead at the first intermission. Unics did not slow down in the second period. They capitalized on sloppy defensive effort from the hosts to establish a 50:34 halftime lead. Unicss dominance continued to blossom in the third frame. Le Mans struggled defensively as they conceded 26 points in the third stanza to face a massive 27-point deficit at the final break. Unics did not loosen the grip in the fourth quarter as they cruised to an impressive win at the end. Terrell Lyday contributed 19 points and 6 assists for Unics. Marko Popovic had 17 points, 7 assists and 5 steals in the win. Alex Acker replied with 17 points for Le Mans. Thierry Rupert and Joao Paulo Batista chipped in 13 points each in the loss.
