Panellinios are back right into the mix in the fight for EuroCup Last 16. They overcame previously undefeated Galatasaray at home court to climb at 2-2 record in Group E. Emmanouil Papamakarios and Joseph Krabbenhoft came up with 15 points each to pace the Greek team. The teams kept it slow in the first term. Panellinios eventually turned out on top as they headed into the second period with a two-point lead 11:9. The teams exchanged punches in the second period. Joshua Shipp sealed the first half with a jumper to give the Turkish team a 28:26 advantage. Emmanouil Papamakarios leveled things up early in the third frame. Bailey and Joseph Krabbenhoft put the hosts in front. Panellinios maintained the advantage as they ensured a 48:44 lead with ten minutes remaining. Ostojic and Emmanouil Papamakarios extended the gap to as many as 8 points however Galatasaray narrowed it back to 3 points. Ostojic and Joseph Krabbenhoft knocked down key free throws in clutch time to secure a tough win for Panellinios. Samo Udrih netted 10 points in the victory. Preston Shumpert and Joshua Shipp responded with 18 points each for Galatasaray. Kurtoglu finished with 8 points and 7 rebounds in defeat.
