Regular Season Round 5: Buducnost - Siauliai 83-66

Buducnost improved their chances of reaching EuroCup Last 16 with a home win over Siauliai. The Montenegrin team is now tied at 3-2 record with Budivelnyk in the second place in Group C. Siauliai on the other hand slipped at 0-5 record. Siauliai accounted for opening four points in the game but their run was roughly abrupt by the hosts. Buducnost went on a 20:2 run to take a 20:6 lead late in the first quarter. Buducnost entered the second quarter up by 12 points 20:8. The hosts maintained the lead easily throughout the second quarter. Buducnost ensured a 45:30 lead at the interval. Buducnost stretched the gap to 16 points but David Weaver capped the period with six points in a row to drag Siauliai within 11 points with ten minutes to go 51:62. Cepulis converted a four-point play to cut the deficit early in the fourth term. But the hosts reacted immediately as they accounted for next six points and never looked back en route to the win. Vladimir Dragicevic knocked down 24 points to lead the effort. Marko Scekic netted 14 points in the victory. David Weaver replied with 16 points for Siauliai. Darius Gvezdauskas netted 15 points in the loss.
