Unics posted the fourth EuroCup victory. The Russian powerhouse defeated EWE Basket at home court ensuring the Last 16 birth. Terrell Lyday came up with 25 points to lead the hosts. EWE Baskets fell at 1-4 record at the bottom of the ladder. Unics started the game confidently. The hosts dominated in the opening frame. Unics ensured a 24:19 lead after ten minutes. The home team maintained the advantage throughout the second period. They limited EWE Baskets to just 17 points to pile up a 47:36 advantage at the interval. Things got even worse for Oldenburg in the third term. Unics stiffened the defensive schemes and held the German side to just 13 points in the period. The Kazan outfit arrived at the final break up by 17 points. EWE Baskets could not recover in the final quarter. Unics cruised to the victory at the end. Maciej Lampe knocked down 16 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for Unics. Kelly McCarty contributed 12 points in the victory. Christopher McNaughton answered with 11 points for EWE Baskets. Oliver Stevic had 10 points and 9 rebounds in defeat.
