Regular Season Round 6: EWE Baskets - Le Mans 71-73

Le Mans celebrated the EuroCup Last 16 birth. They defeated EWE Baskets in Oldenburg to clinch the second place in Group A. Benjamin Dewar knocked down 17 points to lead the French team. EWE Baskets suffered the fifth loss to slip at 1-5 record. Le Mans needed to win the game and they surged ahead right from the start. The visitors managed to take the lead early on and rallied to a 22:18 advantage after ten minutes. EWE Baskets however stopped Le Mans in the second term. The hosts stiffened their defense to limit Le Mans to just 16 points. EWE Baskets managed to surge in front as they posted a 41:38 lead at halftime. Le Mans went off the dressing room recharged. They fired from all guns to retain the lead. Moreover Le Mans cleared off to a 10-point advantage with one quarter remaining. EWE Baskets did not yield as they went on a rescue rally late in regulation. Le Mans survived a nervy final minutes to eke out a tough win at the end. Alex Acker produced 13 points for the winners. Joao Paulo Batista produced 10 points for Le Mans. Mindaugas Lukauskis replied with 21 points for EWE Baskets. Rickey Paulding had 13 points in the losing effort.
