Regular Season Round 6: Cantu - Galatasaray 75-72

Bennet Cantu wrapped up their EuroCup regular season with victory. They held off visiting Galatasaray. But the win had a bitter aftertaste as Cantu failed to reach the tournaments Last 16 stage. Panellinios stole the ticket beating GasTerra Flames in another clash in the group. Cantu dominated the start of the game. The hosts quickly cleared off to an 11-point distance. Mazzarino capped the frame with a basket to make it 25:13 for Cantu. Maarten Leunen and Tabu kept Cantu in charge early in the second period. But Galatasaray used a 13:0 run late in the half to get within three points 34:37. Denis Marconato uttered the last words in the half as Cantu went into the dressing room up by five 39:34. The teams traded baskets throughout the third quarter. Galatasaray stayed within striking distance as they trailed by only two points 55:57 with one quarter to go. Buker put the visitors on top 70:69 late in regulation. Koksal gave the visiting team a 3-point lead 72:69 but Cantu followed with a 6:0 surge to seal the winning outcome. Maarten Leunen finished with 17 points to pace Bennet Cantu. Vladimir Micov added 16 points, 6 assists and 5 boards in the victory. Taylor Rocheste replied with 14 points for Galatasaray. Luksa Andric and Radoslav Rancik had 12 points each in the loss.
