Estudiantes snapped Pepsi Casertas EuroCup Last 16 winning streak. The Spanish team celebrated a home win to catch up with their opponents at 3-1 record on top of Group K. Nik Caner-Medley stepped up with 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Pepsi Caserta looked good in the opening frame. The visitors nailed 28 points in the high-flying first quarter to spur ahead. Caserta enjoyed a 5-point lead after ten minutes of action. Estudiantes made necessary defensive arrangements in the second term to slow the visitors down. The Spaniards limited Caserta to just 12 points to narrow the margin to only one point at the interval 39:40. The hosts finally pulled in front in the third term. Balanced offensive effort saw Estudiantes take a 64:62 advantage with one quarter to go. Estudiantes gradually took over this one as they did not give too many chances for Pepsi Caserta in the final term. A well-deserved win for Luis Casimiro Palomo team at the end. Daniel Clark had 13 points, while Pancho Jasen contributed 12 points for the winners. Timothy Bowers answered with 22 points for Pepsi Caserta. Eric Williams accounted for 18 points in the loss.
