Pepsi Caserta punched their EuroCup quarterfinal ticket. The Italian team improved at 4-1 record in Group K after the success in Istanbul. The victory also meant Pepsi Caserta will play in the quarterfinals. Galatasaray in the meantime fell at 2-3 record in the group with no chance left to qualify. Eric Williams produced 13 points to pace Pepsi Caserta to the victory. The lead changed hands for several times throughout intense first quarter. Eric Williams went on a 5-point solo late in the period to put Pepsi Caserta in charge. Aaron Doornekamp capped the term with a layup as the Italian team earned a 22:14 lead. The visitors opened the second term with six points in a row to boost the advantage. Back-to-back three-pointers from Lukasz Koszarek gave Caserta a massive 37:18 lead midway through the second term. Caserta arrived at halftime with a comfortable 41:20 advantage. But Galatasaray turned things around at the start of the second half. The hosts went on a 13:0 rally to narrow the gap. Eric Williams stopped the rot for Caserta. They capped the third term with an 8:2 run to take a 52:40 lead with one quarter remaining. Galatasaray never got closer than eight points in the fourth quarter and had to surrender at the end. Lukasz Koszarek delivered 10 points for Caserta. Aaron Doornekamp and Ebi Ere finished with 8 points each. Preston Shumpert was the only Galatasaray player to score in double digits as he banked 15 points.
