Qualifying Round Round 2: Le Mans - Karsiyaka 80-78

Le Mans earned the second victory over Pinar Karsiyaka in the EuroCup Qualifying Round. The French team thus clinched the regular season birth. Alex Acker stepped up with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists to pace Le Mans. Le Mans grabbed a 12:6 lead midway through the first frame. But the Turkish side went on a 12:2 run to post a 18:14 lead. They finished the first period up by four points 24:20. Morgan gave Pinar Karsiyaka a 36:26 lead midway through the second quarter. Le Mans however stopped the rot and cut the deficit to a single point at halftime 45:46. The hosts pulled in front early in the third term but not for long. Pinar Karsiyaka returned the lead and established a 63:54 advantage with under three minutes to go in the frame. They entered the final stanza up by seven points and full of hopes. Le Mans tipped off the fourth quarter on a 10:0 run and silenced their opponents. Pinar Karsiyaka never came back to life and had to surrender at the end. Marcellus Sommerville and Joao Paulo Batista posted 14 points each in the victory. Goran Ikonic responded with 21 points for Pinar Karsiyaka. Mire Chatman had 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the loss.
