Alba Berlin outscored Dexia Mons-Hainaut in the starting round of EuroCup regular season in Group H. DaShaun Wood and Kyle Weaver scored 17 points each to lead the winners. Alba had to overcome a slow start to the game. Dexia were up by 7 points after ten minutes 24:17. But Alba erupted for 26 points in the second quarter to snatch a 43:41 lead at halftime. Alba silenced the hosts in the third term. The visitors stretched the margin to as many as 18 points before Dexia cut it back to 16 with one quarter remaining. But the hosts opened the final stanza on a 16:0 run to level things up. The teams were tied at 72 with just 44 seconds to go. DaShaun Wood and Simonovic put Alba in front and later DaShaun Wood added a layup as the visitors celebrated a tough win at the end. Torin Francis and Yassin Idbihi had 10 points each in the win. Ahmad Nivins answered with 20 points for Dexia. Quincy Taylor had 16 points, 5 boards and 5 assists in defeat.
