Valencia registered the second victory in EuroCup season. They outscored Lukoil Academik in Bulgaria tonight. Nik Caner-Medley notched 27 points to lead the visitors. Valencia Basket got to a strong start. They recorded an 18:15 lead ten minutes into the game. The visitors maintained the pressure on the hosts in the second quarter. Valencia registered a 38:28 halftime advantage. Lukoil could not pick up the tempo after the big break. The Spaniards continued to stay in charge boosting their advantage to 13 points with one quarter remaining. Lukoil finally adjusted their game and managed to cut the deficit in the final quarter. But Valencia stayed calm and sealed the winning outcome at the end. Tiago Splitter posted 9 points and 12 rebounds, while Nando de Colo and Rafael Martinez had 8 points apiece in the win. Todor Stoykov responded with 17 points for Lukoil. Bozhidar Avramov netted 13 points in the loss.
