Gran Canaria finished their EuroCup regular season campaign with the win. They held off visiting Skyliners but it did not help the Spaniards to reach the next round. Banvit beat Lokomotiv Kuban in another game in Group E as both teams advanced into the next round leaving Gran Canaria without EuroCup Last 16. Skyliners in the meantime suffered the sixth loss in a row. The German team secured a brave start as they led by five points after ten minutes of action. But Gran Canaria managed to erase the deficit and recorded a 30:28 halftime lead. Gran Canaria maintained a defensive pressure in the third term and cleared off to an 8-point lead with one quarter remaining 49:41. Skyliners never threatened the margin in the final frame as the hosts cruised to the victory. Spencer Nelson posted 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for Gran Canaria. Marquez Haynes and Javier Beiran had 9 points each for the winners. Jimmy McKinney answered with 27 points for Skyliners. Jermareo Davidson netted 16 points and grabbed 16 boards in defeat.
