Valencia opened win count at EuroCup Last 16 round. They shot down Gravelines on the road in Group I opener. Nando De Colo knocked down 19 points and issued 7 assists to lead the effort. The teams stayed close throughout the starting quarter. Valencia eked out a 15:14 lead after ten minutes. The Spanish team took over in the second frame. Valencia surprised the hosts with a massive 27:10 run in the quarter. The visitors accumulated a comfortable 42:24 halftime lead. Gravelines came back to life after the talk in the locker rooms. The hosts limited their opponents to 14 points in the third quarter to get within 13 points. Gravelines stayed aggressive in the fourth period. They narrowed the gap to 7 points midway through the fourth term. But Lischuk and Victor Claver knocked down five points in a row and Valencia ran away with the victory at the end. Brad Newley had 11 points, while Nik Caner-Medley, Lischuk and Victor Claver added 9 points each in the win. Juby Johnson answered with 14 points for Gravelines. Yannick Bokolo had 12 points in the loss.
