Top 16 Round 2: BC Donetsk - Aris 81-74

BC Donetsk claimed the second consecutive win at the start of EuroCup Last 16 stage. The Ukrainian vice-champions defeated Aris at home court to stay on top of Group J. Ramel Curry nailed 18 points to lead the hosts. BC Donetsk took over early in the game. They dominated the opening quarter posting a 24:11 lead ten minutes into the encounter. Aris woke up after a small break. The Hellenes adjusted their offence and cut the deficit to just 6 points at the interval 34:40. BC Donetsk however did not allow the visitors to take initiative after the big break. The Ukrainians maintained the distance and headed into the fourth frame up by 7 points 60:53. The teams traded baskets throughout the final quarter as BC Donetsk kept their opponents at bay and rolled to the win at the end. Maksym Pustozvonov notched 13 points, while Michael Lee and Viacheslav Kravtsov added 12 points each for the winners. Ronald Davis answered with 22 points for Aris. Sergio Kerusch finished with 17 points in defeat.
