Lietuvos Rytas posted the first win at EuroCup Last 16 stage. They held off visiting Benetton to gain 1-1 record in Group L. Jonas Valanciunas accounted for 17 points and 10 rebounds to orchestrate victory. Benetton fell at 1-1 record after the loss. The teams opened the game exchanging the baskets. Lietuvos Rytas eked out a 16:15 lead after ten minutes. Lietyvos Rytas started to pull away in the second quarter. The hosts piled up a 7-point halftime lead 37:30. But Benetton turned things around in the third quarter. Sasa Djordjevic team held Lietuvos Rytas to 9 points in the period to establish a one-point lead heading into the fourth frame 47:46. But Lietuvos Rytas were not intimidated as they shifted the gear and poured in 32 points in the final quarter. It was just enough to celebrate victory at the end. Mindaugas Katelynas nailed 14 points, while Renaldas Seibutis added 13 points for Lietyvos Rytas. Jeffrey Viggiano responded with 15 points for Benetton. Marcus Goree had 12 points in the loss.
