Quarter-Finals Round 1: Arras - Chevakata 71-80

Excellent road win for Chevakata in Game One of the EuroCup Quarterfinals. The Russian squad exploded in last ten minutes to hand Arras 71-80 home loss on Thursday night. It means that Chevakata already made 9-point lead before the second meeting in Russia. Jessica Davenport shined for the guests with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Svetlana Makhlina had 16 points and 5 assists, while Katerina Keyru helped with 11 pts. For the hosts, Pauline Akonga Nsimbo delivered 23 points. Nadezhda Grishaeva had 21 pts and 6 rebs, while Gabriela Marginean followed with 15 points and 9 boards. Quarters: 17-18, 15-15, 21-18, 18-29. Game Two is scheduled for the next Thursday. The winner of this two-game duel will meet Dynamo Kursk or MBK Ruzomberok in the Semis.
