Valencia earned a narrow home win over Nymburk in EuroCup Last 16 stage. The win propelled the Spanish team at 4-0 record on top of Group I. Nymburk fell at 2-2 record and share the second spot with VEF Riga. Rafael Martinez came up with 15 points to pace well-balanced effort from Valencia. Valencia held their opponents to 11 points in the starting quarter to build an 8-point lead 19:11. The hosts maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. They ensured a 40:28 halftime advantage. But Nymburk refused to surrender. The Czech champions cut the deficit to 9 points heading into the fourth frame. Nymburk eventually erased the deficit after a three-pointer from Pavel Pumprla 72:72. Rodrigo San Miguel answered with a free throw to put Valencia back in front. Lamayne Wilson had a chance to win the game for Nymburk but missed a jumper. Niklas Caner-Medley accounted for 11 points in the win. Victor Claver, Vitor Faverani and Nando De Colo added 9 points each for Valencia. Petr Benda and Pavel Pumprla answered with 18 points each in defeat.
