Top 16 Round 4: ASVEL - Aris 79-52

Asvel Basket limited Aris to 52 points in EuroCup Round 2 of the Second Stage. Moreover the French side allowed the guests to score 18 points at the halftime to beat them 79:52 for the initial victory. Hilton Armstrong scored 8 points to cap a 21-0 run that bridged the first and second quarters to put the hosts ahead 31-9. Aris came out for the second half looking determined to make the score more respectable and a Verginis triple early in the third quarter gave the visitors hope. Aris managed to win the third period 22-16 to trail 15 points after three quarters. Asvel Basket however replied with 24-12 in the last stanza to seal the victory. Hilton Armstrong top-scored for the winners with 18 points and Kim Tillie netted 12. Edwin Jackson ended up with 11, while Phil Goss posted 9. Sergio Kerusch delivered 9 points in defeat and Ronald Davis nailed 8. Asvel will take on Donetsk on February 21st . Aris will face Khimky in Russia.
