Top 16 Round 4: Gravelines - VEF Riga 62-69

VEF Riga posted the second straight win in EuroCup Last 16 round. They upset Gravelines on the road to improve at 2-2 record in Group I. Gravelines suffered the fourth straight defeat. VEF Riga set the tone early but Gravelines stuck around. The Latvian team led by just a single point 20:19 after ten minutes of action. VEF Riga stretched the gap in the second quarter. They established a 41:38 halftime lead. The visitors stiffened their defence in the third term. VEF Riga limited Gravelines to 8 points in the period building an 8-point advantage before the fourth quarter. Gravelines narrowed the gap in the final stanza but VEF Riga hung on to escape with the victory at the end. Kaspars Berzins scored 19 points to lead the visitors. Sandis Valters contributed 15 points for the winners. Juby Johnson answered with 12 points for Gravelines. J.K. Edwards had 11 points in the loss.
