Lokomotiv Kuban edged Lietuvos Rytas in EuroCup Group L in Vilnius tonight. The victory allowed the Russian team to catch up with their opponents at 3-2 record in the ladder. Ali Traore posted 18 points to lead the charge. The teams started the game aggressively. They traded baskets as Lietuvos Rytas snatched a narrow 21:20 lead. The hosts stretched the margin in the second period. They established a 42:36 halftime buffer. But Lokomotiv easily surpassed it in the third frame. The visitors unloaded 25 points in the quarter to ensure a 61:58 lead with one quarter remaining. Lokomotiv managed to stay in front throughout the tense fourth quarter and stole a valuable win at the end. Sergey Bykov accounted for 15 points, while Jeremiah Massey finished with 13 points in the victory. Jonas Valanciunas delivered 17 points for Lietuvos Rytas. Renaldas Seibutis had 12 points in the defeat.
