Lokomotiv Kuban advanced into EuroCup quarterfinals. They defeated ALBA in the last round of Last 16 action to clinch the top position in Group L. Jeremiah Massey scored 23 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out 6 assists to lead the Krasnodar team. Lokomotiv stormed into the game. The hosts accumulated a 22:12 lead after ten minutes. ALBA however stopped the rot in the second quarter. The Berlin outfit narrowed the gap to 7 points at halftime 34:41. ALBA got within a single point with ten minutes remaining 51:52. ALBA spurred in front at the start of the final stanza. Lokomotiv quickly regained the lead but could not avoid heart-stopping dying seconds. The visitors narrowed the deficit to just 2 points before Lokomotiv escaped with a difficult win at the end. Roderick Blakney finished with 13 points, while Grigori Shukhovtsov and Ali Traore had 9 points each in the win. ALBA answered with 19 points from DaShaun Wood. Bryce Taylor had 18 points and 11 boards in defeat.
