Lietuvos Rytas edged Benetton in a crucial EuroCup Last 16 Group L battle in Treviso tonight. The victory propelled the Vilnius team into EuroCup quarterfinals. Renaldas Seibutis scored 20 points and pulled down 6 boards to pace the winners. Benetton got eliminated from the tournament with the loss. Benetton enjoyed a narrow 23:22 lead after the starting quarter. The teams exchanged the lead throughout the second quarter. Lietuvos Rytas eked out a 43:42 lead at the interval. The close game continued in the third term. The lead changed hands before Bulleri made it 59:57 for the hosts with one quarter remaining. The teams remained within striking distance till the final seconds however key points from Jonas Valanciunas, Babrauskas and Rice brought a valuable win for the visitors. Jonas Valanciunas provided 17 points, while Mindaugas Katelynas added 15 points in the victory. Jeffrey Viggiano replied with 17 points for Benetton. Sani Becirovic and Marcus Goree netted 12 points each in the loss.
