Date: April 14, 2012
Valencia sealed the EuroCup Final appearance. They overcame Lietuvos Rytas in Khimky. Brad Newley and Niklas Caner-Medley scored 12 points each to pace well-balanced effort from the Spanish team. Valencia jumped to an early lead. They stayed aggressive offensively in the opening quarter and poured in 29 points. The Spaniards piled up a 14-point lead ten minutes into the game. Lietuvos Rytas however stiffened their defence in the second frame. They limited Valencia to 13 points in the quarter to narrow the deficit at 10-point mark 32:42 at halftime. Valencia got back in control in the third frame. Lietuvos Rytas were plagued by misses from behind the arc and Valencia gradually restored a comfortable 13-point lead at the final intermission. Moreover Lietuvos Rytas lost Jonas Valanciunas after he committed the fifth foul. But the Lithuanian powerhouse still fought hard. Babrauaskas knocked down 9 points in a row to narrow the gap at just 6 points 63:69. But three-pointers from Victor Claver and Nando De Colo kept Valencia in charge. The Spanish team did not allow Lietuvos Rytas within striking distance and rolled to the victory at the end. Victor Claver, Vitor Faverani and Nando De Colo produced 10 points each in the victory. Steponas Babrauskas provided 21 points for Lietuvos Rytas. Renaldas Seibutis had 15 points in the loss.
