Qualifying Round Day 2: POLAND - ESTONIA 77-52

Poland tipped off their 2013 EuroBasket Qualifying campaign with victory. They overcame Estonia in Krosno tonight in the opener. Izabela Piekarska scored 14 points to pace the home team. Poland set the tone early in the game. They outscored Estonia 23:10 in the first quarter. Poland kept their opponents at bay throughout the second quarter. The hosts arrived at halftime up by 17 points 36:19. Estonia could not recover in the second half. They allowed Poland to stretch the lead to 20 points with one quarter remaining. Poland did not slow down rolling to a confident win at the end. Agnieszka Skobel delivered 11 points, while Magdalena Losi, Weronika Idczak, Martyna Koc, Szott had 8 points each in the win. Kerttu Jallai reacted with 11 points for Estonia. Kati Rausberg provided 9 points in the loss.
