Qualifying Round Day 2: SLOVENIA - LITHUANIA 79-68

Slovenia registered the second straight win at the start of 2013 EuroBasket Qualifying Round. They knocked down Lithuania in Kranjska Gora to improve at 2-0 record on top of Group C. Teja Oblak orchestrated the victory scoring 19 points for the hosts. Slovenia opened the game aggressively. They knocked down 25 points in the first frame to take a 3-point lead. Lithuania quickly denied the deficit. They held the home side to 12 points in the period to level things up at 37. Slovenia adjusted defence in the third term. They held the Baltic team to 13 points and surged ahead for a 56:50 lead at the final intermission. Slovenia stayed in charge throughout the fourth quarter and drove to the victory at the end. Maja Erkic posted 13 points, while Nika Baric delivered 12 points and 8 assists in the winning effort. Gintare Petronyte answered with 22 points and 9 rebounds for Lithuania. Sandra Linkeviciene and Giedre Paugaite banked 10 points apiece in the loss.
