Qualifying Round Day 2: SWITZERLAND - MONTENEGRO 67-82

Montenegro eased to the second win at the 2013 EuroBasket Qualification Round. They shot down Switzerland to improve at 2-0 record on top of Group B. Jelena Dubljevic knocked down 29 points and distributed 8 assists to lead the winners. Switzerland fell at 1-1 record after the loss. Montenegro proved the strength in the opening quarter. The Balkan team gained a 27:13 lead at the first intermission. The Swiss team stopped the rot in the second frame. The hosts cut the deficit at 8-point mark at the interval 37:45. Montenegro however regained control in the third term. They dropped 23 points in the quarter to extend the lead to as many as 12 points. Montenegro limited the hosts to 11 points in the fourth frame and sealed the victory at the end. Iva Perovanovic notched 24 points, while Milica Jovanovic added 11 points in the winning case. Marielle Giroud answered with 19 points for Switzerland. Karen Twehues had 17 points in the loss.
