Qualifying Round Day 6: SLOVENIA - BELGIUM 75-56

Slovenia was too strong for Belgium last night in Round Six of the 2013 EuroBasket Qualifications. The hosts registered comfortable 75-56 win mostly thanks to great played third quarter of the game. Slovenia made 20-5 in this period and all after that was just the formality. Teja Oblak had 19 points and 5 assists in victory, while Sandra Pirsic added 15 points and 9 boards. Nika Baric (6 as) and Maja Erkic (5 rebs) helped Slovenia with 11 pts each. Laurence Van Malderen had 16 points in loss and Emma Meesseman collected 14 pts and 8 rebs. Quarters: 17-17, 16-15, 20-5, 22-19. Slovenia improved to 4-1 record in Group C sharing the first place with Lithuania. Belgium has 0-5. Slovenia will play in Lithuania on Wednesday, while Belgium will host Slovakia and will try to grab the first win in qualifications. Round Eight will be played next weekend.
