Qualifying Round Day 7: ROMANIA - GERMANY 64-75
Date: July 4, 2012
Germany jumped to 3-2 record in Group D of the 2013 EuroBasket Qualifications. They celebrated 64-75 road victory against Romania tonight. Anne Breitreiner top-scored for the winners with 18 points and Romy Bar also was great adding 14 points, plis 9 rebounds. Sarah Austmann contributed with 13 pts, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to this victory. Gabriela Marginean was better than the others in Romania with 20 points. Cristiana Cutas was their second scorer with 9 points (6 rebs) and she had perfect shooting night. Romania dropped to 2-4 record in this pool. Germany made plus 6 at the halftime and totally took control on Romania after that. Visitors started the last quarter with 4-10 run for 46-66 lead with 5:44 to go and rest of the game was just the formality. Germany will go home to meet Spain on Saturday. Romania will play again in Round 9.
