Qualifying Round Day 8: SWITZERLAND - SERBIA 45-88

Serbia had no mercy for Switzerland tonight. Visitors celebrated huge 45-88 victory for 4-2 record in Group B of the 2013 EuroBasket Qualifications. Serbia is currently No.3 in this pool, behind Poland and Montenegro. Switzerland is No.4 with 2-5. Serbia took control on its rival from the beginning and they were increasing lead after each period. Quarters: 11-17, 9-20, 16-27, 9-24. Milica Ivanovic led the winners with 17 points and 5 rebounds for 17 minutes on the court. Ana Dabovic scored 16 points and Ivanka Matic helped with double-double of 11 points and 10 rebs. Switzerland got 13 points from Marielle Giroud (5 rebs) and Alexia Rol. Sarah Kershaw was limited to 10 pts. Serbia will host Poland next Wednesday and it will most likely be crucial game for both teams. Switzerland is free in Round 9.
