Qualifying Round Day 9: SPAIN - ROMANIA 68-54
Date: July 11, 2012
Spain finished 2013 EuroBasket Qualifications with 68-54 home win against Romania. The hosts registered 6-2 record in Group D and booked a ticket for EuroBasket in France. Spain will be the winner of this pool if Sweden fails against Germany in the last round. If not, Spain will end as No.2. At the other side, Romania fell to 2-5 and will meet Bulgaria in the last round. Spain shined in first and third period to take the victory on Wednesday night. Quarters: 25-13, 13-14, 17-8, 13-19. Cristina Ouvina had 11 points and 5 rebs for the winners, and Marta Xargay Casademont scored 10 pts. Anna Cruz and Elisa Aguilar posted 9 points each. Elisabeth Pavel answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Annemarie Parau and Gabriela Marginean posted 10 points apiece. Saturday is the last day of qualifications.
