Qualifying Round Day 9: LATVIA - FINLAND 80-47

Latvia destroyed Finland 80-47 on Wednesday to book a spot for 2013 EuroBasket in France. Thanks to this victory Latvia finished as the second ranked team of Group E with 5-3 record. Finland at the other side dropped to 3-4 and they will meet Italy on Saturday. Italy will be the winner of this group as they already celebrated in 6 games. Zane Teilane-Tamane had amazing game collecting 16 points and 24 rebounds (valuation 37!). Kristine Karklina scored 15 points and Liene Janson added 12 pts, 6 boards and 5 assists. Visitors got 9 points from Dionne Pounds (8 rebs) and Emmi Leino. Tiina Sten stopped to 7 pts in this meeting. Latvia dominated during the entire game increasing their lead each minute. Quarters: 30-17, 16-12, 16-7, 18-11. Saturday is the last day of qualifications.
